Position: Administrative Specialist
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Sacramento, CA 95815 *Note this is an in-person position
FTE: 50% FTE (20 hours/wk) – Posible full-time 100% FTE available
Status: Non-Exempt; Hourly

Organization Description:
The California Consortium for Urban Indian Health (CCUIH) supports health promotion and access for American Indians living in cities throughout California. Established in 2006, CCUIH is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) statewide alliance of Urban Indian health organizations and substance abuse treatment facilities collectively referred to as UIHOs. By blending the leadership and experience of our consortium members with shared resource development, and by combining applied research with educational and policy advocacy efforts, CCUIH offers innovative strategies to support the health and wellness needs of the Urban Indian community in California.
Position Summary:
CCUIH’s Administrative Specialist will provide administrative and office management to support to the Executive Director, accounting team, and program staff. This position will focus on setting up and maintaining infrastructure and operational systems to increase efficiency for our small nonprofit organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up, update, and maintain administrative systems and processes including grant tracking and data entry
- Maintain office supplies and office functions including mail and phones
- Expense reporting in partnership with CCUIH’s Executive Director and Bookkeeper
- Schedule/calendar travel arrangements for CCUIH staff
- Assist with CCUIH meetings and event coordination
- Participate in programmatic outreach with our members at cultural events
- Support CCUIH programs through activities such as data entry and research tasks
- Management of program and project-related events and deadlines.
- Perform other duties required by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree preferred
- Four or more years of administrative & project coordination experience with a nonprofit
- Experience working with American Indian communities
- Must be highly organized and possess high attention to detail
- Computer savvy (Macintosh operating system, Microsoft Office)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
