Urban Indian Healthcare Study
Congress appropriates funds to study unmet urban Indian health needs in Minneapolis and finds cultural, economic, and access barriers to health care for Urban Indians. The study leads to congressional appropriations to support emerging UIHPs in several Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) relocation cities.
